So someone who cares told you, in no uncertain terms, that you HAVE to start exercising. And you believe them. You know it. You have known it for a long time. Like, a gnawing sense of dread that has been following you around, laying heavy on your heart, and settling in the pit of your stomach. Of course, you have made a start before now, but your motivation never lasts very long, and with that, a sense of failure, . . . again! Next time I will be able to stick to it, you promise yourself. Now someone else is expressing their worry, and their words dive straight in to your heart. It is nice that they care so much. It was brave of them to talk to you. But it hurts too. You squirmed, tried to cut the conversation short, hung your head, agreed and waited for it to pass. Talking about the elephant in the room doesn’t make it any easier! It is easier for the words to flow, than to actually DO anything. Trying to explain your dread is difficult for you, everybody else makes it look so easy, why is it so hard. Even if you try to explain, it is difficult for your friend to understand. It’s complicated. So very, very complicated. I get it. This is what I am passionate about. I have put myself in those shoes so many times, and the bravery of beginning is so inspiring.
These group fitness sessions are small in numbers, if not, one on one! I make jack out of it financially, but I am so much richer for it. You just need to make a start, in an environment where you don’t feel judged. Guilt and embarrassment will motivate you to quit, quicker than the feeling of progress will motivate you to continue.
Absolute Beginner Fitness:
Currently, we are walking 20 mins at 6 am on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (negotiable) at Mooloolaba.
Extends on from Absolute Beginner. After the walk, 10 mins of body weight exercise. Pick and choose which exercises you do according to ability and pain restrictions. You will find that you will motivate each other, no pressure, or expectations.
Extends on from Beginner Fitness. 20 min walk, 10 min body weight exercise, 10 mins of interval jog/walk training, 5 mins of stretches to finish at 45 mins.
$5.00 per person, per day for the full 45 mins. Pay up front for 8 weeks and stay committed.
Personalised Group Fitness Training:
Get a small group of people together, maximum of 4, to enjoy a classic personal training session that combines strength and conditioning training for just $60, and split the cost!
